Mesothelioma Claim– Witness Request

We are acting on behalf of Sue Walsh (nee Chamberlain) who worked for Halton Borough Council in Widnes from approximately 1983 until 1985.  She was employed as a community worker, and was engaged in liaising with tenants and with the tenants groups when improvement works were being undertaken on the Fairfield and the Bankfield Council Estates.

Mrs Walsh was working in close proximity to builders who were engaged in removing back boilers and demolishing out buildings.

Mrs Walsh has mesothelioma, a cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.

We would like to speak to anyone who can recall this work being undertaken on these estates.

Sue Walsh (nee Chamberlain) also worked for Ingersoll Rand in Wythenshaw in approximately 1974/75. This was an engineering company and they used to make parts for oil rigs. Mrs Walsh was doing clerical work for this company. Mrs Walsh had to frequently walk through the workshop to speak to the managers and provide them with various documents.

We would like to speak to anyone who worked for Ingersoll Rand and may be able to provide us with any information on the sort of work that this company did and the materials that they used.
