We are acting on behalf of the Widow of William Isaacs or “Bill” to his friends. He worked for a company called Thos. W. Ward Limited, in approximately 1962/3. During his time with this company he worked at the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority site near Preston. Thos. W. Ward Limited were involved in construction and demolition work.

From approximately 1963/4 until 1984 Mr. Isaacs worked for the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority, which later became known as British Nuclear Fuels Limited (BNFL). During his time here Mr. Isaacs was an estimator/engineer.

In May 2007 Mr. Isaacs sadly died of mesothelioma, a cancer caused by exposure to asbestos he was aged 83 years. 

We are trying to trace anybody who previously worked for Thos. W. Ward Limited or worked for the United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority/British Nuclear Fuel Limited at the Solwick site.
