John Pickering and Partners LLP are pleased to announce that all 3 offices have been accredited as specialist personal injury practices, having reached the required standards of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).

APIL (The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers) was established in 1990 by a group of lawyers working on behalf of personal injury victims and now has over 5,000 members. 

APIL campaigns for better laws to help people who are injured or become ill through no fault of their own. 

APIL accreditation demonstrates  that  a client will find well qualified personal injury lawyers with specialist expertise and skills at our offices.

John Pickering and Partners LLP have offices at Halifax, Liverpool and Manchester but travel all over the country to see clients.  The criteria set down by APIL is intended to ensure that an accredited organisation maintain standards of client care over and above the minimum expected by professional Regulations and that there is adequate training and supervision of those employees working there.  We had to provide evidence of the above and of the quality of our work. 

We have agreed to monitoring of our performance by APIL. 

In addition, Ruth Davies and Paul Glanville, Partners at the Halifax office and Kevin Johnson, Partner at the Liverpool office have gained APIL Fellowship status.This shows that they are experienced practitioners demonstrating high levels of expertise and are recognised by their peers as being in a position of professional and intellectual leadership in the field of personal injury law.  In addition it demonstrates that they have  skills, experience and a personal commitment to sharing knowledge, ‘know how’ and expertise so as to help promote the objective of building the overall competence and professionalism in  the practice of personal injury law.
 
Currently, in Liverpool, John Pickering and Partners LLP are the only accredited firm in the city. In West Yorkshire, Ruth Davies and Paul Glanville are 2 out of only 4 Fellows in the County.
